Zenith 7H820Z Antique Radio: First Test

When on vacation in Savannah, Georgia, I picked up an antique tube radio for $35 from an antique store. This was a surprisingly good deal- the radio is in a great condition externally and has all of the original hardware that comes with the radio.

However, when I plugged the Zenith 7H820Z radio in, it surprisingly began to smell extremely bad and smoke as well, which was a bit disappointing. The radio did let out a slight hum, but it smelled so bad that I'm sure something is broken inside. More information coming up!
