First Steps

Hi readers!

It seems like I've always been hacking, coding, and making things, but I never get around to  documenting everything in a way that other people can make use of it.
Unfortunately, working alone and not sharing your thoughts and ideas has some major drawbacks- community review, tips, testing, and other feedback can't be gained. Also, other people can't get a peek if they feel your work is interesting.

After some thinking, I decided that I should start a blog. Nothing big- I'll put stuff on here that I feel is useful and helpful to others. I plan someday to make this into something bigger and better, but for now it's just going to document my efforts and hopefully entertain/help others.

Before I create anything, in the interest of openness, I want to let you know what I will be doing on the blog in terms of moderation:
  • I may make edits to or delete my posts after they are published. If there are huge factual things that need changing, I might put something at the bottom of the post that mentions the change.
  • I may remove comments that are spammy or abusive. I don't mind off-topic comments, but please be civil and respectful. If you have an edit or suggestion to make to a post, I would love to hear it, and you can definitely add it as a comment or send me an email.
  • If you have a personal question, or you want help specifically with a project, then email me at contemporarymaker@gmail.com. I might not be able to help you, but I'll take a peek at what's going on if it is within my abilities.
I am not paid to endorse any company or product on this blog. If I like something I have by a certain company, I'll mention it of my own free will.

That's pretty much it for now- I'll add more to this post if needed in the future. New content coming soon!
